ICE OUT BANNER DROP AND MINI RALLY
Saturday, February 21 10:30–11:30 AM
This is a peaceful, nonviolent banner drop calling for ICE OUT. We will have a mini rally with one or two speakers. After the rally, participants will gather to hold a large banner and their own signs on or near an overpass in a visible, high-traffic area.
• This action is STRICTLY NONVIOLENT and constitutionally grounded
• We will have a banner, but participants should bring their own signs
• A large banner will be provided and held collectively
Location is approximately 30 minutes from Savannah and 15 minutes from Rincon. For security reasons, the exact meeting location will be shared by email with confirmed attendees approximately 48 hours before the event. The location shown here is a general area only.
On Saturday, September 13, and Saturday, October 4, 50501 Savannah held a voter registration drive. Attendees met at The Sentient Bean for directions and then went out in pairs to Forsyth Park Farmer's Market where they assisted people in checking their voter registration or providing information about voter registration.
On Thursday, October 2, 50501 Savannah joined Aidan Wise on Zoom to learn about the state of reproductive freedom in the US since the 2022 Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson. Aidan spent the summer of 2025 as an intern with Men4Choice.
Thank you to Coastal Georgia for Democracy and Migrant Equity Southeast for working with us on this meaningful Labor Day Event.

Session 2: Monday, August 25

Folkston ICE Processing Center Zoom
The for-profit Geo Group (big Trump donor) operates the Folkston ICE Detention Facility in Folkston, Georgia. Currently it has about 1,000 beds, but the government has approved a $47 million expansion to make Folkston ICE Detention Facility the nation's largest ICE detention facility with over 3,000 beds. Making profit for its owners, who contribute to trump and his PAC, while people suffer. With the expansion now approved by the federal government, it's more important than ever that we all act on the call to resist.
See our Folkston Ice Processing Center page which includes many links, videos, information on what you can do, the slideshow and the text of the Zoom.
